Vondelfysio Newsletter 2027

As 2026 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment to look ahead to 2027 and share an important update about health insurance and physiotherapy at VondelFysio.

Every year, we review our agreements with health insurers to ensure we can continue providing the high-quality, personal care you have come to expect from us. Unfortunately, changes in the way insurers arrange their contracts sometimes mean that we cannot continue working with every insurer.

For 2027, there is one significant change we would particularly like to bring to your attention: our contract with ONVZ will come to an end on 1 January 2027.

We understand that health insurance can be complicated, especially when it comes to reimbursements. That is why we would like to explain what is changing, what remains the same and what this means for you as a patient.

An important change for ONVZ policyholders

From 1 January 2027, VondelFysio will no longer have a contract with ONVZ.

This change is related to a new arrangement in which VGZ will take over healthcare contracting on behalf of ONVZ. As a result, our existing contract with ONVZ will come to an end.

We realise this may be disappointing, especially for patients who have been visiting our practice for many years. We want to emphasise that you are always welcome to continue your treatment at VondelFysio, regardless of your health insurer.

However, depending on your insurance policy, you may have to pay part of the treatment costs yourself.

Which health insurers will we work with in 2027?

We expect to have contracts with the following health insurers in 2027:

  • Achmea / Zilveren Kruis
  • a.s.r.
  • DSW

These agreements may also cover other insurance brands within the same insurance groups, depending on the final contracts.

Health insurers without a contract

We do not expect to have contracts with:

  • ONVZ, including PNOzorg and VvAA
  • VGZ, including IZA, IZZ, UMC and Univé
  • CZ, including OHRA, NN and Just
  • Menzis, including Anderzorg and VinkVink
  • Zorg en Zekerheid
  • Salland

What does this mean for your physiotherapy treatment?

If you have supplementary health insurance that covers physiotherapy, the amount reimbursed depends on your policy and whether your insurer has a contract with VondelFysio.

With a contracted insurer, eligible treatments are generally reimbursed according to your policy conditions.

With a non-contracted insurer, you may still receive reimbursement, but this is often only partial. The exact amount varies between insurance policies.

We therefore recommend checking your coverage carefully before the start of the new year.

Looking ahead to 2027

The end of the year is a good opportunity to review your health insurance and consider whether your current policy still meets your needs.

If you regularly visit VondelFysio, we recommend checking whether your insurer has a contract with our practice and how many physiotherapy sessions your supplementary insurance covers.

Of course, our commitment to you remains unchanged. We will continue to provide the same personal attention, professional expertise and high-quality physiotherapy care in 2027.

Thank you for your continued trust in VondelFysio. We look forward to welcoming you again in the new year!

Stay active, stay healthy – and whenever you need us, we’re here to help.
